Delfini Bay & Syros

Syros is a whole year island and the administrative capital of the Cycladic islands. Hermopoulis, the capital has a hospital and emergency helicopter linking it to Athens and great services.

It is also a unique gem of a Greek island town, renowned for its marble streets, opera house and open-air cinema, quaint and picturesque shopping streets, neo-classical architecture and magnificent cathedrals atop the two hills in the UNESCO preserved old city of Ano Syros.

Delfini Bay is an exclusive area of private houses and estates dotted around the valley in a nature area on the west side of the island. There is no through traffic with only a dirt track road that ends at the beach tavern at the far end of the bay and walks beyond to the remotest parts of the island with stunning places to swim and gaze.

Delfini has a wonderful beach (sand and stone) gently sloping and safe for children with two taverns that serves snacks and meals and drinks and with sun loungers in the summer months.

From Delifni bay it is only a 15-minute walk through the valley or three-minute drive to Kini, a bustling village with many wonderful sea front restaurants serving award winning Cycladic cuisine, a small supermarket and cafes and take away restaurants and its own fine beaches.
