Getting to Syros and the Sanctuary

Travel

There is a small airport on the edge of Ermopoulis that services just one flight per day between Athens and Syros and back. It is just a 25-minute flight with Sky Express: http://skyexpress.gr/.

 

The busy harbor area of ‘downtown’ Ermopoulis has several boats that come and go each day between Syros and the ports of Athens (Pireaus and Raffina). The addition of a fast boat means the trip is only about 2 hours.

 

From Syros, there is easy access to the other islands, many, where Mykinos, Tinos, Paros are in easy reach: www.Greekferries.com

 

Private flights are available from Athens airport.

 

Car hire:

We work with Smart Car rentals who usually bring the car to the port / airport to greet you. They have always given our guests a very good price and have always been courteous and reliable (please mention our name).

This is not a touristy island and the people here mostly live here the whole year round and are proud of the place – as are we.
